Emma Something and Nicola Something, the women who wrote Citizen Girl and The Nanny Diaries. I read Citizen Girl just because the photo of them on the dust jacket made me mad (which means jealous). The look on their faces, especially the woman on the right, was clearly meant to say “We DARE you to write a book, you underling! Don’t you see how much better than you we are? We know about fashion designers, and Virginia Woolf AND we use curse words like fuck in our prose. Would you be a dear, and fetch us our dry cleaning?”
